| “The car has a dead battery. Being a diesel, It will run fine indefinitely once jumped off as long as it has fuel in the tank. I will replace the battery if it is bought before the auction ends.If the reserve price is met, buyer will have to buy the battery or I will jump start it so it can be driven home. The body has very little in the bottom of 3 of the doors. No rust that Im aware of in the body itself. It has some new belts, The water pump is about 2 years. The glow plugs are new and were updated to the newer pencil style plugs. Tires have roughly 5,000 miles since they were replaced. The AC and radio do not work. All lights, horn, windows, windshield wipers,4 way flashers, brakes, etc work as they should. The car is semi rough But it is very reliable. The engine and transmission work great. Expect to put a little effort into maintenance thou the oil and other filters are all current. It will start right up once the glow plug light goes out and it can be driven home.” |

1979 Mercedes Benz 300D. Diesel engine, automatic transmission. Runs and drives good. New glow plugs, water pump, belts and hoses. Tires have less than 2000 miles on new tires. New front suspension components. New window switches. Car is cosmetically challenged. Missing passenger side front door panel, dash is cracked, ac does not work and paint is faded. It is reliable transportation. No transmission leaks. Engine may leak a dot of oil every once in a while. The valve cover is slightly leaking. I have a new gasket for it. As is. Bid with confidence. 100% feedback On Jun-10-17 at 10:44:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Revision! ! After closer examination, there is some minor rust thru on the bottoms of the drivers and passengers front doors. Surface rust on the bottom of passengers rt door. No rust on the bottom of car, floor pans or quarter panels. The rust on the door bottoms is minimal. I should have looked eariler but because I"ve never seen rust on this car, I didn"t think to look. Bid accordingly.
