1979 Ford F-150, 390 V8, Short bed, 2 wheel drive, Automatic, Dealer installed A/C. Just completed restoration, Purchased project from original owner, Items reconditioned or new: Engine: Ford FE 390 V8 sourced from a 1968 Thunderbird (came with project), full machine shop rebuild, new pistons .040 over, RV Cam, double roller timing gear, high volume oil pump, fuel pump, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrel (rebuilt), 1 wire distributor, water pump, flex fan, 4 core aluminum radiator, headers, 2.5 inch exhaust, Thrush welded chambered mufflers, new tank, sending unit, filler hoses Drive train: Ford C6 looks like from same 1968 Thunderbird (came with Project), Completely rebuilt by local shop, new torque converter, moved shifter from column to floor via B&M Unimatic, u joints, new 3.25 ring and pinion set, new wheel bearing all around, new brake rotors & drums/internal parts/lines/pads & shoes, shocks, new steering gear, rebuilt steering pump, lowered rear springs by 3 inches to level stance, new slotted mags and 31 inch street tires. Body: Pulled Bed, fenders, hood, front core support to access areas to clean and repair, sourced Right & Left fenders from local salvage yard, replaced farmer bumper with flush roll pan, only metal repair on outside body was filling holes from old farmer mirrors on both doors, replaced front bed panel and tailgate, front grill repaired and polished, new plastic grill and light bezels, original bumper, new front glass, new rubber gaskets all around, body and paint was professionally done, paint is Ford Velocity Blue with additional pearl added. Interior: Floor pans replaced with new metal welded in place, removed dash to assess all parts to recondition and repair, cleaned out Dealer installed AC unit, cleaned out Heater box, installed new heater core, new ignition switch, sourced period correct aftermarket Sony stereo, dash painted exterior color, new dash pad, sun visors, new door cards, door swipes and runners, key lock assembly, sourced steering column from floor shift model, new mahogany wood steering wheel, new rotary AC compressor, condenser, charged up and blows cold, floor is coated with sound deadener and carpet, new seat foam and covers, headliner is on order. Local seamstress made a pouch from the old bench seat.
