Vehicle description
Up for Auction is my 1979 ELCO * 350 Engine - 350 Turbo Hydromatic Trans. Motor has a mild cam, Headers, HEI, 650 Holley (New), Flow Masters to the rear. Total Interior has been redone with Cow Leather Buckets, NEW Carpet, Headliner, Door Panels, Dash stained Black to match rest of the interior, New Bluetooth Stereo with 4 in the door speakers (Quality but not over kill), Mahogany Steering Wheel, took off the column shifter and installed a Star Ratchet Shifter, took out the Bench Seat and put in buckets which gave it the SS Look instead of Grandpa"s grocery getter, has electric windows and Viper Alarm system. This car runs and drives with lots of get up and go, Not a full Race Car but enough to make you pay attention. I can list 1000 things I"ve done to this vehicle because it was a labor of love and gave me something to do when I got board since I"m now retired. Basically it has set in my Garage since I"ve owned it, except for when I get the NEED FOR SPEED or neighbors and their friends want to see her run when I"m tinkering with it. It"s a blast to drive and always gets Thumbs up when I take her out and about. With this being said my wife isn"t a big fan of the ELCO, because it"s in the garage and her Nice New Car is in the Drive way so it"s time to let someone else enjoy her. Now there are a lot of NICE things to say about this vehicle but it"s not perfect, it"s dependable, safe, eye catcher, and fast, but not a full restoration. The car came equipped with A/C, but the compressor, dryer, and hoses have been removed, the passenger side window goes up slow, if your not used to driving with ratchet shifter it"s a little different you will have to be shown so you don"t get frustrated, if you have no idea about older semi hot rods this car is not for you because she loves attention, no issues, or leaks, but I personally always look under the hood when filling up, she runs best on premium if you use low grade gas or low octane fuel she will ping 92 octane is a good idea. Over the years I"ve had this El Camino I probably put over 12,000 dollars in personalizing it and making it a really Cool Vehicle, I"m selling it for a low starting bid, NO RESEARVE and let the cards fall as the may. So any bid on this vehicle over 6500.00 is a winner. On completion of the Auction a 500.00 deposit will be required thru PayPal and the rest can be paid in a Cashier Check or Cash Money upon pick-up, I will do everything possible to help you with setting up delivery if needed but that will be buyers responsibility. This is an AZ. Car so no rust or hidden issues- I you have any Questions email me or call my cell 602-628-6048 my name is David. Thank you for LOOKING and happy BIDDING
