Vehicle description
A TRUE TIME-WARP EXAMPLE
We bought this Mini in England in November 2009, and exported it to the US that same month. It had been owned from new by a lady in Leicestershire, England. It had been stored in a heated garage all its life, up until the time we purchased it. It had been maintained throughout its life by the local Leyland dealer. When the dealership finally closed, the owner of the dealership took it upon himself to continue to maintain the car for the owner.
Having driven many of these cars from new during the 1970"s and 80"s in England, I can tell you that this example drives, and looks, like a new car. The car will happily cruise all day at highway speeds.
This car is totally original, and untouched, in every respect. This is NOT a restoration. The mileage when we purchased it was 34,768, and it is now 35,999. Since importation to the US it has never been driven in the rain, and it is kept in a carpeted garage. The car has remained untouched since importation. The assembly plant sticker is still in place under the bonnet (hood) - see images. The original toolkit is included, and is complete with jack, lug wrench, and hub cap remover.
The car carries its original English number plates, and as required by North Carolina law, the NC licence plate with tags that expire in January 2018, is kept in the boot (trunk). The last British tax disc remains on the windshield.
Please carefully review the high-resolution images. There are a few minor blemishes, after all, please remember that this car is close to 40 years old, and IS totally original.
The car is being sold as-is with total confidence.
