This a " Barnfind" without the barn. This is a totally original 1979 British Leyland Mini, when I say original I mean everything is as it came from the dealer. This is original paint, (excellent condition) upholstery as new, excellent carpet. So why does it have to be in a barn to be original. This is a true "time-capsule" . During it life onley 37,000.miles, Engine is 998cc.
It was bought new by a school teacher in leicestershire England and stored in a heated garage ( almost unheard of in the UK) she kept it in top condition having it serviced at the dealership. She loved this car so much and the dealer knowing this, continued to keep it up for her even after he sold the business.
Sadly, she passed away. My friend having heard this, bought it. In 2009, when he came back to the US, he brought it with him. He and I went to Charleston SC to collect it. From that point on it received the same loving care in his carpeted, climate controlled garage. Having returned to the UK, he put it"s care in my hands. I now have more cars than I need, so it"s time to let the Mini go.
