1978 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT II 4x4, 20k miles, 304 V8, 1 owner w/doc SEE VIDEO, GREAT DEAL!
1978 International Scout 4x4 purchased from an estate. 20,9XX original miles. 304 V8 motor with Automatic transmission. The original owner bought this vehicle for use on a CT weekend property. The original build sheet comes with this vehicle as well as the Manuals, Warranty info and original Title. Quite a time capsule.
The Scout sat for a few years requiring the following tune up parts: New fuel tank New fuel pump New Holley 2 barrel carb New cap, rotor and spark plug wires New Spark plugs and oil change New mufflers Electronic choke Runs good, trans shifts, drives, runs and stops, 4x4 locks
The body is overall original paint. The Chrome and trim is in good shape. The paint shines but it’s more of a survivor/driver quality with some nicks and scratches. Removable top! The body and frame are solid. The rocker on the drivers side was replaced. The floor has a few small sheet metal patches which were cleanly done and sealed. The body mounts are good. The rear quarters around the wheels wells have been touched up. The flat black RallyE stripes were added later. The under side is original with some surface rust but solid overall (see video).
The interior is original with 2 bucket seats and console. The door panels are clean, Seat covers installed but the orig passenger seat is perfect, drivers has a rip on lower. Have used jump seat for the rear but need upholstery redone. Floor is original rubber Matt. The dash looks perfect. Lights, wipers, window washer work. Windows go up and down as they should.
The scout runs and drives but will need a few small things to put it on the road. Comes with a clean windshield that will need to be installed. Also needs front marker light on the passenger side. Needs small odds and ends like windshield wiper blades… Tires are near new with 15” Scout Rally wheels. New Old school KC fog lights wired in to the dash. Im sure there are things I’m forgetting. Not perfect or Mint but these trucks are highly desirable and collectible and well worth my Buy it NoW!.
