1978 Wagoneer
It was ran and registered until march of 2000. It was used to pick up rent from the Schultzes trailer park in Beatty from Goldfield Nevada. 176k on odometer all hi-way miles! Had a starter go out and 3 mechanics take money and never installed the starter. (very common in rural Nevada) Previous owner was taken advantage of because she was wealthy and older. She got disgusted after the third mechanic and took it as a sign. Missing interior because it was going to be ran in desert race Vegas to Reno by her grandson. My wife son told to her to find him a Wagoneer like Grandpa had. So I did and guess what, here it sits. (Traded my running 1978 "Scout") I hunted down the specific tire size and special option rim combination his grandpa had. You"ll need a lift to run these tires! ! I have all the trim not pictured and 3 stock rims with hub caps. I have 4 bucket seats and a steering wheel/column that goes with. Not the same color. It has sat on blocks for five years last 6 months been sitting on the tires. Very clean for its age and has a Straight body! ! Comes with the little seat between the two front bucket seats.
Now the bad: Wagoneer has 2 small spots of body cancer you can see in the photos plus surface rust on rear passenger doors. Dash is cracked out as well. Missing original factory door locks, starter, steering wheel/column, front seats and door panels.
Numbers matching vehicle that deserves restoration!
Would love to build this for myself to hand down to my grands. Just not going to complete it and have my stepson guilt his mother for it.
