Triple Brown 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz coupe with 49,700 miles. Originally from Texas, I found this Eldorado Biarritz in 2017 from a collector. Solid rust free car, needs rear bumper side fillers and paint detailed, has tree sap marks on car. Vinyl padded roof has no tears and edges around lower trim not rusted.
Muffler connection to pipe over axle needs repair. Power steering pump reservoir tank leaking, needs new "o" ring around pump. Car steering and brakes well. Heat works and a/c system needs a R 14 charge, new air compressor in 2018. Extra climate control unit in trunk, needs replacing. New felpro intake manifold gasket set also in trunk. Hood hinges need adjustment. Level ride a/c compressor runs but not connected to the air rear shocks that were replaced in 2017.
Very good condition interior with brown power adjustable pillow top leather seats. No dash pad cracks. Headliner and carpet in very good condition, a non-smokers car. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Super comfortable seats have fold down armrests. Both side door panels no cracks. Have orginal owners brown suede covered manual.
Radio is Am/Fm 8 track and power antenna work, all car lights work, but horn does not work. Extra windshield and washer switch included, the wipers can work with another manual switch, but the delay and washing part do not. Cruise not working. Rear defrost works. Both side mirror controls work. Glovebox trunk release and power trunk lid pull down motor working. Has a battery disconnect switch for winter storage. Rubber floor mats included in trunk with full size spare and complete jack. Orginal Cadillac trunk rubber mat and cloth spare tire cover included.
The American Classic wide white wall tires are older, but still have good tread left. Driving this Eldo is a treat, the car floats with a very smooth ride, no rattles and has plenty of power from the V-8 425 7.0 liter and the Rodchester 4 barrel carburetor. Great highway cruising car! Car brakes and steers well, no slop in steering or front end suspension.
Parts replaced 2017; Fuel pump and rubber lines. Starter, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Rear brake calipers and pads, turned rotors, bearings greased and new grease seals. Brake fuild flushed. Rear rubber fuel lines to gas tank changed in July 2021.
Rear AC Delco air shocks with air fill valve under rear bumper. Front Napa shocks and sway bar end links. Headlight adjuster screws. Windshield washer pump Sept 2018. Radiator, upper and lower hoses and heater hoses. Thermostat, radiator cap, and heat control vac valve. New heater core and blower motor.
Eldorado located in Skokie, Il 60077, near Chicago Ill. Inspections and test drives welcome, car sold as is with no warranty. Easy access for transport truck to pick up. Full payment within 3 days and $500 deposit required. Wire transfers accepted.
