Vehicle description
You are bidding on a 1977 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM equipped with the original 6.6L 400 cubic inch Big Block Engine, Automatic Transmission and a Positraction Rear End Paint code 13-Sterling Silver and Black Interior.
This vehicle"s paperwork and odometer shows 23,538 Original Miles. This vehicle has is being sold with a CT bill of sale and a CT registration dated 2017- the state of CT no longer offers titles for vehicles over 25 years old. . .most states accept this, but check with your local DMV if that concerns you. Title is clear, but CT DMV took it and does not give it back!
This vehicle is almost completely rust free and is one of the most solidest original Trans Ams around. It appears the vehicle was painted years ago with driver quality paint job and still looks good from 10 feet away but is starting to show some age on the tops of the fender and hood. The undercarriage of this vehicle is super solid and rust free. The floor pans, frame rails, trunk floor, quarters, rockers, sub frame, rear tail pan are just awesome! ! The right side door has some rust just starting on the lower corner and will need some minor attention, there is a tiny spot on the lower most part of the fender that is almost negligible.
The interior is in very good condition with only a minor crack in the dash and the driver seat shows some sign of age in between the stitching. The T tops do NOT leak!
This vehicle starts right up, runs, drives, brakes, and steers but does have a rather loud engine knock. It needs to be towed. I do not recommend starting it anymore, so that no more damage is done this 400 big block! I do have a 400 complete engine from a 1977 Pontiac Formula Firebird that was removed 30 years ago from another car that was stored in doors and turns over freely that is currently for sale locally, that can be bought for an additional fee.
In the past 8 years the vehicle has been driven less than 400 miles total and originally came from down south as the school parking pass on the rear window and oil change stickers show North & South Carolina, from years ago.
Now is your chance to own a super solid rare 1977 PONTIAC 6.6L T TOP TRANS AM that is a perfect candidate for a bandit clone or resto-mod. Drop in a new engine or fix this one and you now have a super cool car to drive. Or a super solid foundation for a restoration. No need for expensive body work, all the ORIGINAL SHEET METAL is there!
As with any old car that has been sitting, one will need to safety check the vehicle and go through the safety aspects before it is considered road worthy safe.
Vehicle is sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied
