1979 Maserati Merak Ferrari 360 engine six speed manual gearbox. I purchased this Maserati 25 years ago in California therefore the car is absolutely rust free. I moved to Las Vegas 20 years ago. I have been an automotive mechanic for 55 years and a certified master exotic Italian tech for the last 15 years. The Maroc has been perfectly reliable before and after the Ferrari engine swap. I installed the Ferrari engine five years ago, it has been a daily driver since day one. It has a Holly stand alone programmable sequential injection system. The Ferrari 360 engine is a jewel of design, a five valve motor that is indestructible and loves high RPMs. This car pulls strong from idle.I built the intake manifold myself. This car needs paint, interior work, the air conditioning hose is hooked up, speedometer, and tachometer. This car is a project in progress that starts and goes every time. I have driven this car at the Las Vegas motor Speedway. It drives flawlessly every time. Unfortunately I became disabled overnight and had to forcibly retire and I’m unable to drive. I have to sell this car as is, it has a salvage title presumably a theft recovery because there is no evidence of structural damage whatsoever.
