Vehicle description
PLEASE READ ALL, This is a 1977 AMC Pacer, I bought this car when my daughter first got her license (she is now 26). Car had a lot of rust when I got it and did not run. Once I got it running we bondo"ed it up and painted it pink and white (as you see it). She drove it in the summers while in high school and later just to show it off. It was always a huge hit everywhere and at the Dream Cruse on Woodward we got stopped constantly. NOW, Fast forward to today: The car has been sitting for almost 3 years now, with the exception of one trip (Dream Cruise 2 years ago), I believe the starter is locked (may have been battery). The motor did run and car drove when parked, but I think it needed a carb rebuilt (would not idle). The car always drove pretty good when we used it, motor quiet, trans shifted good and stopped ok. The reality though is the car is rough. The floor boards are almost completely solid but the hollow boxes that run from the firewall to the front seats, are shot, I thought this would make body weak, so we were always careful to lift the car by the axles when we needed to get it off the ground just in case. The doors, hood and trunk all close well and do not sag all in all they are not that bad. To any potential buyer I would say this is a PARTS CAR for anyone that is looking at it, with that said I bet you would have said the same thing when I bought it nearly 10 years ago. Anyways she no longer uses it or plans to do anything with it so we are going to sell it. Do not bother asking if I will take less the answer is no, you are not buying it to come look at it and negotiate a price, you buy it you own it plain and simple. Email any questions, I will not take less than the asking price. Thank You.
