1976 Volkswagen Rabbit. One of the first generation water cooled VW"s now known as a Swallowtail, because of the distinctive sheet metal forming on the rear. I have had this vehicle for many years now and stored it in a garage. It has the 1.5l 4 cylinder engine with carburetor. The head is removed from the engine bay along with the intake and exhaust manifolds and related equipment to run. I had grand dreams of restoring this vehicle, but I really want something to just drive, and this one deserves an owner who really cares to own a first generation. The vehicle has a clear California title in my name and is on non-operational status. I will be willing to trailer the vehicle to the seller up to 300 miles from my home at the rate of 50 cents per mile. Otherwise, shipping us up to the buyer and I will help a vehicle delivery load it onto their trailer. The car is not complete enough for you to come up, put it together and drive it away. This vehicle is sold as-is, where it is.
