Vehicle description
This car was purchased as a barn find. In 1995 the engine and transmission were rebuilt professionally including all engine compartment components, ie, brake master, brake booster, etc. The rebuild also included conversion to SU HS6 carburetors, which are far superior to the stock Zenith"s. Today, the SU"s are $900 a pair for the parts only. I"ve driven both and if I were going to set up another TR6, these would
be my choice
In 1997 it got a complete body off restoration of the body and running gear. Pictures verifying the engine and body work are included.
In addition to the soft top it includes a factory hardtop which was painted at the same time as the body, a boot cover. a tonneau cover and a car cover. The soft top has a small hole in one of the corner windows and the tonneau cover has a silver dollar size hole that could be patched. The hard top needs a new headliner, but can be used as is.
It has four red line tires with almost no mileage on them, but they have flat spots from sitting which may come out with some local driving.
It needs a new radio, but does include both "kidney panels" with speakers in them so installation would be easy. A Retrosound radio would fit with no cutting of the center panel required.
