It is with mixed emotions that I post this listing. I recently bought this all original, numbers matching, 1976 Plymouth Road Runner, with full intentions of restoring it to its original glory. However, some personal things have come up and I need to let her go. I purchased the car from the 2nd owner, who had the car sitting in his backyard for nearly two decades. The 1976 model was the first year of the last generation of Road Runners (ending in 1980) and is very rare. This road runner is powered by the original 318 c.i. with automatic transmission, and 84,513 original miles. The motor fired up, with the help of some fuel poured into the carburetor before I purchased it, but the car currently is not running. Over the past couple weeks I haven’t been able to wrench under the hood to make it start on its own, but I am confident it can be done. Overall the body is pretty solid, there is some rust but it is very restorable. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the car long enough to make much progress, and will be selling with the title issued in 1996 and signed over by the 2 nd prior owner.
