Vehicle description
My family and I have enjoyed this Bronco for the last nine years. It has brought a lot of joy to our family and friends and has been the talking point on many social occasion. This is a really head turner. I cannot remember the last time I took the car out and was not stopped and complimented on the car by a stranger on the street.
Frame off restoration done in 2006, two years before I purchased the vehicle. I put approximately 1,000 miles per on the vehicle. The car was kept in a garage the entire time and remains in excellent condition. It is truly a distinctive and unique Bronco with straight line body. Here is a breakdown of the car:
Power Train:
The engine is a 440 HP Full Roller 351 Windsor with Dart aluminum heads. This turn key engine was built by Performance Unlimited and includes the March Performance Alt and PS Serpentine Kit. This aluminum head monster is not only beautiful. . it is scary strong?
The beastly engine is equally matched by a four core aluminum radiator with built-in tranny cooler (the collimator) for optimal cooling.
When it came to an appropriate transmission, Chevy"s 700R4 offered the best solution. The 700R4 is an automatic transmission with overdrive that allows the Bronco to cruise effortlessly on the freeway. The tranny was built by the folks at Cotton transmission. Their mission, to build a 700R4 that would handle well over 500hp.
A NP 205 transfer case was chosen as for its durability and low gearing.
Suspension:
The suspension was done by Leonard"s Off Road. They built a custom suspension system that would allow this machine to travel anywhere, anytime.
The following equipment was installed by Leonard"s: custom drive shafts (1533 output yoke), front and rear axles (31 spline), exhaust with headman elite headers, family roll cage, both front and rear differentials 9ARB air locker front diff), Detroit rear diff, 4.88 gears, 5.5"suspension lift, extended radius arms, wild horse "wrap trap", front disc breaks.
Exterior:
This car was repainted in 2006. It was professionally painted at a reputable paint shop and remains in great condition. The bumpers are pre-runner bumpers front and back. Solid 15" rims with 36x14" tires.
Interior:
Weather resistant deluxe front bucket seats. Fold and tumble rear seat. Family roll cage installed with soft top and over the shoulder seat belts, front and back. Removable CD player with speakers installed in roll cage.
This is a completely rust free vehicle. This truck has NEVER seen sand or any other environment that could damage or prematurely wear out any of its components. This is a great truck. Feel free to call me with questions at 954-557-4277 or e-mail me at djoannou@yahoo.com.
