Vehicle description
I have a 1976 Fiat 124 Spider, smogged (with a valid cert) and a clean title. It"s was my daily driver but I got a new car don"t have a parking spot to keep it anymore.
It runs and drives and is registered till July 2019. Passed smog with flying colors. It a California car so no rust.
I am the 4th owner of the car and have detailed records going back to 1996. The car was dark blue from the factory but the previous owner painted it red at some point. The paint is a single stage paint so its faded in some areas but a good compound and polish should get it back to a decent condition (prob a 6-7/10). It has a cpuple of dents / dings where the paint has chipped.
The odo says ~67100 but I"m pretty sure its ~167,000 (only 5 digit odo). Mechanically, the car has been serviced by the same mechanic since 1996 in Mountain View and I"ve continued to take it there.
Recent updates: - New tires all round in Apr 2018 (put about ~3500 miles on it since) - New pinpoint vinyl convertible roof installed in Sept 2018 - Newish driver and passenger seats in Apr 2018 (these are in great shape, no rips) - Valve job done in March 2018 (just before I bought it) - New fuel and return line in March 2018 - New drivers side 3-point seatbelt mounted to the rollbar. Passenger side still has the original lap belt. - Oil changed in Oct 2018 - New head gasket and timing in Jan 2019 - New cat in Feb 2019
Other pros: - Detailed records from 1996 - Serviced by the same mechanic since 1996 (probably even before that) - Mechanically / electrically everything work (except the radio - turns on, but is not connected to the speakers). - Previous owner installed a rollbar - Dash has a cap on it from the previous owner and is not cracked (but looks a bit warped). Also have a dash cover (cloth). - Passed smog with no problems in Feb 2019 (cert is still valid till May 19). - California car so no rust - I also have a spares / knick-knacks in the trunk, including a 3-spoke later style steering that I was planning on installing.
Cons - I think the center muffler baffle came lose so it rattles at a certain RPM - Couple of small dings on the body - Boot rubber mat is ripped (still covers everything, but its ripped down the middle so its 2 pieces instead of 1. - Its not an all original car - bits and pieces
Text, call or email if you have any questions or want to see the car. Texting would probably get the fastest reply but if you call, please leave a message if I don"t answer and I"ll ring you back.
