Vehicle description
This is one of the few 1976 530i"s still around that not only look great but run great! Over the years a lot of work and money went into this car. Anyone who is looking for this particular year and model BMW this would be a perfect buy! To list a few of the things done over the years: 1. Transmission rebuilt. 2. New floor installed. 3. Interior re-done. 4. Rebuilt brake calibers installed. 5. New brake and fuel lines. 6. New master cylinder. 7. Front fenders, rear quarter panels replaced. 8. $4000 paint Job!
I also want to point out a few things so there is no surprise when you pick the car up. I have been driving it for the last 15 years or so without issues! I normally drive like an old man, kuz I am but when I get in this car I am a maniac! So, don"t be discouraged.
1. There is a short somewhere. If car left for 2 to 3 days without driving battery will need re-charge. I disconnect the positive lead on the battery after driving.
2.Runs very rich and smells sometimes like an exhaust leak but had exhaust checked and is ok.
3. High beams don"t work.
4. No keyed ignition, at the moment, I"m starting it with a screw driver, Lol. I have ignition switch and will try to install.
5. The actual speedometer needle broke off some how! ?
6. Two cracks in the dashboard.
So even with these issues the car is solid and I put a ton of money into it over the years you are getting a great deal!
