1975 Volkswagen Puma GT 1600 The Puma was acquired in 2016 from a Classic Dealer in Sao Paulo, Brazil and imported in the same year by the current owner. The car is now offered with a clean New York title in the seller"s name. Car was never restored, bearing the original yellow color in very good condition. Interior is black, along with original Puma alloy wheels. The is well maintained and serviced recently with new sparks plugs, points, filters and new battery. Power comes from a reliable Volkswagen 1600cc flat-four, double carburation, paired with a 4-speed manual. The odometer is believed to have been reset and currently show about 3,400 kilometers (less than 2,800 miles). The Puma is a Volkswagen based specialty sports car built in Brazil . Strict Brazilian regulations which restricted imports to encourage domestic automobile production led to the development of the Puma and other specialty vehicles. Production began in 1964 using DKW components, with a switch to VW components in 1967.
