Vehicle description
Well cared for 1974 TR6 with factory overdrive, 49,000 original miles and lots of extra goodies. Runs out nicely with nice throaty exhaust note. Up shifts, downshifts and brakes as it should. Straight and solid original body with excellent panel fit. Never crashed, original floors, rockers and body panels with no known rust. Rock solid frame. Very nice paint. Repainted once in original color in 2012 (door jams, trunk, engine bay included). Original seats, side panels, carpeting in excellent condition.
New tires, brakes, radiator hoses, fuel pump, fuel lines, differential bushings, and standard tune up items replaced in the last 2 years.Within the past 5 years the cylinder head was rebuilt, alternator replaced, new exhaust installed, carbs rebuilt and convertible top replaced.
Lots of extra goodies installed: Rear sway bar, rear suspension adjustable swing arms, reinforced differential pins, electronic ignition, alloy valve cover, external cylinder head oil feed line, Moss emergency hood release lever, exhaust header, fog lights, Beautiful wood steering wheel. A new roll bar is included with the sale. I did not like the looks of it after it was installed so it was removed. Also included is a black cockpit cover.
I"ve had several Triumphs over the years and this by far has been the most reliable and trouble free.I would not hesitate to take it on a long road trip. There is one small door ding the size of a dime right behind the radio antenna on the upper driver"s side fender (did not chip paint). The convertible top has a small cut at the upper right and left rear corners. The cuts have been patched from the inside and are barely noticeable from the outside. -The result of not folding the top correctly when lowering. The interior is in excellent original condition except for the driver"s side door panel. Someone"s wedding ring (i"m guessing) caught the material when operating the window crank and it put a small tear in the material.
Full payment required within 7 day after listing ends.
