1974 Triumph TR6 with factory overdrive, California car since new. Four owners, second owner had it from 1978 until 2014. It has been in storage and covered since 1994. I recently bought it and got it running and driving well. The car has approx. 85K miles. In 1990, at 72K miles, it had several thousand dollars of work done. Completely rebuilt transmission, new clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing. Resurfaced flywheel Rebuilt rear suspension (bushings & shocks) Rebuilt front suspension (ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings, shocks) At the same time, it had a high-end repaint done in its original code 82 (Carmine Red) Recent work performed: New battery New radiator (the old one was leaking) New Red Line tires New factory green engine coolant hoses. New water pump New thermostat New heater valve New brake master cylinder New wheel cylinders (rear) New overdrive switch (column switch, old was worn and intermittent)
The car has ZERO rust and no accidents, ever. The body is super straight and still beautiful, even after 27 years. The interior is clean, but the dash pad has a crack on the passenger side. The top is still in good condition, but does have one small repair just behind the roll bar. The sun visors and door seals need to be replaced. The car runs great. The temps are cool and the oil pressure holds from 65-85 PSI, warm. The transmission shifts smoothly, up or down and the clutch is excellent. The overdrive unit works as it should. The car runs and drives well. I just installed new Red Line tires and had the rims powder coated for protection. There’s less than 300 miles on the new tires. It has a clear CA title in my name and currently registered. I have all the receipts from 1990 when all the work was done along with the second owners sales contract and the original owner’s manual. Shipping is up to the buyer, but I will do what I can on my end to help.
