1974 911 Sunroof Carrera US, one of just 518 made, Barn Find, Original interior, Carrera Ducktail, original Manuals and Tools This beautiful garage find is available for sale after 18 years being put away in storage. Very original, with its factory interior and color combo, this rare car is the perfect candidate for a sympathetic restoration, or just to keep as a collection piece sporting the beautiful hues of its 1974 original colors. Following the legendary statement of the 1973 911 RS, the 1974 Carrera, followed the steps with the 2.7-liter engine with a CIS injection for the US market. Only 518 Carrera Coupes where manufactured in 1974 for the American market. Our car #138 of 518 is matching engine and transmission numbers. Engine delivers power even and solidly to the ground through the beautiful Fuchs wheels wrapped on P6000 tires. The bodylines are straight, and the paint shows nicely on the body however is fading on the roof. Some minor bubbles can be seen around the windshield wiper cowling and the top corner of the front fenders. The battery tray area shows corrosion, all typical from these 1974 cars. For the rest it shows to be a very solid car. The red interior is all original, showing beautiful patina. The original carpeting is beautifully faded. The original leather is still on the seats, and shows cracks and marks, all representing 45 years of life. VIN 9114400138
