Vehicle description
1974 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA with rebuilt 440 engine with pistol grip A833 - 4 SPEED MANUAL transmission and POWER STEERING.
I bought this "CUDA recently with an intention to restore it but circumstance have changed so it is for sale. Since I have not owned the car for that long I only know what the previous owner had told me about it: "It is not a numbers matching car. The engine has been rebuilt and new CENTER FORCE dual friction stage 3 clutch added. Also added are new EDELBROCK intake manifold and carburetor, fuel pump, electronic ignition, alternator, high torque starter, battery, radiator, brakes, rotors, calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, windshield, heater core. Front end rebuilt with new upper and lower control arm bushings and ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, pittman arms, idler arm, sway bar bushings and end links.
BODY: The car will need bodywork. Right quarter panel and trunk floor are the worst parts of the car (see pictures). There is also bubbling on the rear lower sections of the front fenders and front lower sections of the doors. Floors have been done in the past and look good. The frame and underside also look solid. Engine compartment also looks very solid.
INTERIOR: the dash and numerous panels and trim have already been taken out of the car. The dash liner is in poor shape and it will need to be replaced. The car is missing a headliner. The seats will need to be restored. All the interior panels and trim parts that I have are pictured.
DRIVABILITY: the engine runs strong but the car is hard to drive because the clutch pedal does not return if fully depressed. In order to drive the car the clutch pedal has to be "finessed" and not pushed fully in. This is due to the new CENTER FORCE clutch. Please look at the explanation in the last picture.
TITLE: I did not register the car in my name so I have a clean Maryland title from the previous owner. it is signed on the back by him and it is ready to be transferred to the new owner.
I HAVE 2 VIDEOS OF THE CAR ON YOUTUBE titled: 1) VLADS 74 CUDA ENGINE 2) VLADS 74 CUDA WALK AROUND
PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS THANKS
