Vehicle description
Ok. This one"s going to hurt. You know the drill: work your tail off to raise your family and treat yourself to a toy when done. Well, we"re never done, atleast not me, so up for sale is the dart I searched for for years. It"s a matching numbers car, no rust, great original interior. Yes, it"s the 727 transmission with a 318 v8.
Found this in miami. It does have surface patina but no rust to speak of. It"s a solid candidate for a pro restoration. All chrome is there. Mounts, trunk all solid. This is a rare find in cars of this vintage. Seller claimed 33000 original miles and I was skeptical, but didnt care 33 or 133 since I was going to rebuild it anyways.
I wasn"t going to go crazy. I planned to rebuild the original with new intake, cams, etc to keep matching numbers. Im told you can inexpensively bring a the 318 v8 to 395 horses. With a solid paint job and some fat tires, poof: a poor man"s muscle car!
Well, your muscle car, part of my three tuitions. Hopefully it doesn"t sell so I have an excuse to keep it lol.
Seriously though, this is a nice car. It does run and drive fine. I hate to see it sit til I get a chance to tackle the project. So bid away. I"ll answer questions promptly. And check out my other auctions for bargain projects in miscellaneous phases.
Good luck
