Vehicle description
I purchased the car in 12/2007 and have put over $13500.00 in parts and labor in repairing and restoring the unit. $3500.00 in the Engine rebuild and $10,000.00 in parts with my own hands. I have gone through every system, what follows is a partial list: Engine , 30 over, new cam, lifters, pistons, valve guides and bearings. Holly 650 carb, new radiator & thermostat, power steering pump and lines, electronic ignition, replace hood insulation. Transmission drain, flush and refill several times. Rear End , reman 411 gear set, trailing arms (new bearings and emergency brake assy), Bilstien HD shocks, new fuel tank and fuel sender, antenna mast and grounding plate, replaced two "U" joints, new spare tire on original steel wheel. Front End , New VPB tubular upper and lower A frames, ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, sway bar, Bilstien shocks. mono composite spring, reman steering box. Brakes, brake fluid drained - flushed- refilled, RF caliper replaced, pads at 80%, drivers side flex line, brake proportioning valve. Interior , all plastic parts removed, painted and reinstalled, replaced courtesy lamp switches and bulbs, both power window switches, both window motors and the drivers side regulator replaced, nine port vacuum switch and two vacuum motors replaced at the plenum chamber, ac engine kit and evaporator needed to restore the ac, blower motor relay replaced, new carpet set, new seatbelts, dash bulbs replaced, hood release cable and handle replaced, horn separator, battery kill switch, battery negative cable. Miscellaneous , driver door outside handle and lock assy, steering shaft flex coupler, battery hold down. I have extensive build pictures of all the work done. Going through each system everything I touched, when possible, was cleaned, sanded, primed and painted. I call it a body off restoration without taking the body off. At this point I have around $30,000.00 in this car. If some one buys this for my asking price, spends around two grand to put air back in it they will have one heck of a Corvette. There is nothing like the sound of a big block.
