Vehicle description
I bought this car back in July for my 60th birthday. My wife hates it. She cant get in it. She cant get out of it. lol I love this non-AC car, because I love the T-Tops out cruising around in beautiful NC. Of course, that makes her hair wind blown and looks like a Q-tip when she gets out !
I have a stack of receipts from the 2nd owner who owned the car for more than 30 years. Approx. 20 yrs ago at 90k, the original L48 (185hp) died due to an oil problem. He replaced with a factory GM Goodwrench L82 (220hp). They got rid of the original engine. They reassembled using all the original components so looks like factory. now approx. 26k on this new engine.
Car went thru a restoration at that point with new paint (one repaint), calipers, hoses, etc. . The paint is a very good 10 footer, maybe even a 5 footer. Still shines bright. Front and rear bumpers were replaced with solid fiberglass - so no sagging or ripples.
If I was going to keep this car, I might put new rear spring and front coils. I think they are a little tired, but car drives and handles great with no rattles.
Factory 4 speed. and runs like new. Everything works. All interior courtesy lights, head lights, PW, everything. The car comes with original am-fm radio.
This is not a project car. Grab the keys and go have some fun.
Love this car - but happy wife, happy life. . . .Make me a reasonable offer.
