“Excellent running condition, near perfect body, rebuilt motor with 24,000+ miles on it. Very little rust for it's age (always garage kept it's entire life, only 3 owners, all in Arkansas). Clean title, never wrecked other than minor dings. Some minor work is needed such as new rubber for the windshield and top. The top is in good condition but not perfect (will need to be replaced soon). The tires are getting old now but the tread is good and likewise, will need to be replaced soon. The windshield has a small chip on the passenger's side. The engine does drip oil in our garage but it is a minor amount. It never needs oil added between oil changes. Overall, this is a very nice (but not perfect) beetle. Factory color is orange and it looks like it may be had a paint job in the past (not by us) because the paint looks very good for it's age.” |

Vehicle description
My wife as decided to sell her 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible. It is orange in color and is in excellent condition for its age. She hates having to part with it but we just moved from Fayetteville, AR to Rogers, AR and her daily drive to work is now just to far for her to continue using the beetle. For this reason, she just purchased a new car (orange of course) and is now ready to part with her beetle she loves so much (it was a very hard decision for her).
The beetle has always been garage kept and has never been smoked in as far as we know. We are the third owners of the beetle. It was originally purchased by a gentleman in Little Rock, AR who kept it for 36+ years. We have all his paperwork and owner"s manual since the time he purchased it in 1973. He sold it to a second owner in approx. 2009 -2010 (also in Little Rock) and we later purchased it from them in 2011.
The beetle runs fine and has been well maintained. The floor boards are in good condition (hard to find beetles of that age without rusty floor boards) as is the entire car. Please see the "condition description" for more info. The seats and seat covers are original and are also in good condition but do have some cracks starting in the back seat. Overall, this is a very nice convertible beetle but could use some more updating. I would say it is in very good - excellent condition but certainly not fully restored. With a little money and work, this beetle could be a show car.
If you are interested in the beetle and have questions, please call us in the late afternoons or early evening (CST) at 479-236-7658. We live in Rogers, AR. The beetle is for local pickup only and we only accept cash. No checks of any kind. We will consider offers. The title is in hand. The beetle is being offered locally so this listing may end at anytime without notice.
