Vehicle description
An excellent example of a west coast 1973 Porsche 914 that currently resides in MA. Shipped to the east coast and always garaged, never driven in snow/salt. Solid "hell hole", solid longs with excellent door gaps even when jacked up. Side turn indicator delete.
Mechanical
Raby 2056 RAT engine with dual webers, proper throttle linkage and oil vent canister from CFR in Manchester CT Transaxle fully rebuilt with Rennshift linkage installed New clutch Rennshift shifter Stainless fuel lines and new/reconditioned fuel tank Electronic fuel pump moved to front trunk 5 lug conversion with 16" Fuchs 150# rear springs Header/performance exhaust (heat exchangers removed so no heat) Fuse block upgrade from bullet to blade fuses Torsion bar delete replaced with hydraulic shocks Optima Red Top battery
Interior
Front seats reupholstered New headliner New carpet Momo steering wheel New dash (not installed, will come with car) LED gauge lights upgrade Visor delete with center mount mirror (no longer attached to windshield) Center console removed with gauges mounted under dash Updated stereo CD and speakers, with bass drivers in foot well and tweeters where coat hangers were
Known issues
Rear license plate light housing failed and has not been replaced. Wiring is present and after market units are available, I just haven"t replaced. Windshield washer tank leaks and electric pump no longer functions. As I don"t drive the car in rain/snow, this has never been an issue for me. Small ding in drivers side door from being caught in wind before having replaced internal door rollers. Hardly noticeable but can provide pic on request.
This car is turn key and ready to go. Not a concours restoration, but a well executed update to a classic. These cars are only appreciating in value. Mileage stated is approximate on new motor/transaxle. Oil always changed with Brad Penn oil and Mahle filter. Bulk of mechanical work completed at CFR in Manchester CT, the premier east coast 914 shop. All costs and arrangements for shipping and/or pick up are the responsibility of the purchaser. Car will not be released until funds have fully cleared. Don"t bother with any scams.
