Vehicle description
Up for auction my 73 duster car .was a daily driver for a few years .I did a lot of work on it .let me make this clear the is not a show car by any means. what I always had in mind for this car is to be a driver ,that"s all here is
what I did to this car I welded new floor pans, welded new metal to all the rotted body panels. the body on this car wasn"t in bad shape to begin with .the quarter panels part of the passengers side fender was patched. the bottom of the driver side door one small hole in the trunk as big as a dime. the trunk is all original. I replaced the engine wireing harness the original was a mess. all high current wires to the bulkhead to the inside of the car were bypasse.d if your a mopar guy you know what a big problem that is so electronicly everything works great.
this car had factory ac when I bought the car. all the ac eqenment were missing in the engine compartment so I decided it would be less expensive to buy a whole new aftermarket system ,it"s a great system which works great! this is the most valueble thing on the car I did it all my self was a lot of work i"ll said and done. plus all the extra parts and the brakets for the engine & the charge it cost me $ 1,000. I would like to get the money back for that so that"s what I would like for the car .
now for the engine I replaced the engine last year was out of a 73 dart. its a great runner no smoke or knocks new carb $200 from summit raceing .new starter and distributor now the body the paint is faded various scratches chips cracks in paint their some surface rust bubbles on the bottom, the passenger side fender again "DRIVER" .the interior is very nice mosley original has the rubber floor covering with original mopar mats bench seats where recovered at one time. this car was originaly a bucket seat but bench was in the car when I got it .dash pad has only one crack door, panals are fine dash, the sail panals are not cracked. has sears 8-track player and underdash cd player, the only problem is the cheap original carboard head liner is warped .
now the problems as you can see the front passengers side wheel the front wheels wont stay alignment I had my friend fix the front end did some patches on the front frame with heavy duty metal replaced all upper control arm bushings new idler arm ball joint boots it needs lower control arm bushings strut rod bushings and a k-frame I bought the new bushings the driver side torshin mount was repaird the passengers side mount is fine the trunk frame is fine the leaf spring mount has rot I don"t work on front ends if you more specific info i"ll give you my friend perrys number I think I got down everything I know this is not a million dollar car but again would like to get the money back for the ac so now looser dead beats low ballers this car is still here and survived 4 decades it erned its respect if you wanna come and take a look be respectfull don"t be a dick I won"t put up with it bottom line it needs a good home and some love good luck
