Vehicle description
Very cool 1972 Volkswagen Bus for sale. This bus is configured with the 3 passenger rear seat and table/bench setup. No rust around wheel wells, and all of the body is solid. The van appears to have been repainted with the original color and carries the original dealer plate on the back. The paint is in great shape and the bus has been stored inside. It has the somewhat unique option of top engine access under the rear sleeping pad. The engine runs strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly. It is a blast to drive and catches a lot of eyes on the road.
The radio has not worked since we have owned it, and we never jacked with it because it almost seems like a travesty to hide the classic VW engine sound; it"s all part of the experience. Does it use some oil? It doesn"t smoke but not really sure because it does leak some oil - it"s a bus. We believe that we are the 3rd owners and purchased it from the grandson of the original owner. The odometer is exempt but works, and I would not be surprised if it was the original mileage.
If you have questions or would like a specific picture of something, let me know. The best way to understand its condition is to look before bidding. Either way, it is sold as-is. Buyer responsible for pickup.
