Vehicle description
This beautiful NO RUST car was stripped to bare metal, then sprayed with etching primer, sealer, base coat and clear coat. One spot of rust was found on the lower driver"s door. It was cut out, repaired with a steel patch and refinished properly. No other rust on body or frame. Car is very straight with a glorious mirror finish.
Additional work just completed includes:
*Head was removed and rebuilt with new valves, springs, guides and seals, milled flat and reinstalled. *New plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, condenser and points *New heater valve *Rebuilt carburetors *Flushed cooling system and filled with fresh coolant *New window regulators and rubber window seals installed on both doors *New battery *New trunk liner kit, carpet and weatherstrip *New leather gearshift boot and OEM shifter knob
*The top is a recent replacement in mint condition *New wiper blades
The car runs strong, with good compression in all cylinders, excellent oil pressure, good brakes, strong clean-shifting transmission and clutch, tight steering and suspension. All the gauges work except the ammeter. The doors, windows, trunk and hood all work properly. The interior is in very good condition. The red-line tires and factory wheels are excellent, the OEM exhaust is in good shape with that excellent Triumph factory tone. All the hard work has been done to make this a great daily driver, with very little tinkering needed.
Note: the factory air cleaner is missing in the photos. It was removed for tuning the carburetors, but has been reinstalled.
