1972 Porsche 914, non-running restoration project, original L041 Black car. Great foundation for an EV conversion restoration or to be returned to stock with an IC engine! Exterior: Overall a very straight car with a few minor surface dings, great start for a restoration, only apparent sign of damage is a dent in the center of the rear panel (see pics), no signs of panel replacement, paint quality is in poor condition. Door handles do not function from the outside, rear trunk lock missing, all lenses and rubber seals are weathered, wheels are steel 4 lug with Porsche crest hubcaps. Interior: Mostly complete but in rough condition, all panels will require recovering, missing radio, and sun visors. Mechanical: Steers but does not run or stop. Motor is a 48V-144V DC electric motor coupled to a tailshift transmission, no motor controller or batteries, rear calipers missing, LF tire leaks air. Rust: Appears to be limited, I have not pulled all the panels or carpet to inspect but overall the rust appears to be very minimal, battery tray area (hellhole) does have a few holes but is overall solid, trunks appear solid. History: Unknown, car was purchased from the owner about 10 years ago, was likely last registered about 20 years ago, true mileage unknown. I was told the car has a clear title but the DMV and registration history are unknown. Online title search shows no history of total loss or theft. Comes with a CA Bill of Sale and Title application paperwork. Shipping: Shipping will be at the buyer"s expense, I have a forklift here and can assist in loading on most weekends.
