I would love to have this beautiful MGB-GT to go to someone that really would love it as much as I do…. I bought Linda, my wife of 47 years, a NEW 1972 MGB-GT in 1972 when I was in Air Force Pilot Training. We absolutely LOVED it and finally sold it after our two Daughters outgrew the tiny back seat…. Last year I found out that the wealthy Monty Shelton who has hundreds of cars in his car collection was going to sell this restored MG. I sincerely hoped that Linda would want a part of her youth back. She loves the color much more than the orange color of our first one. Every time that we drive it, people go out of their way to tell us how beautiful the car is….
Monty owned the Bentley / Jaguar Dealership in Portland, Oregon from the 60s. He also sold new MGs in the early 70s. Monty ordered this MG new in 1972 with this unusual AQUA color. This man owned it since new and completely restored it with a re-paint in the original color and an engine rebuilt, transmission and new clutch by the famous Harold Dick, an MG mechanical expert. Monty heard about the car and bought it for his car collection. Monty is in his 80s and decided to sell off several of his cars in 2017…. I bought this car from the youtube video and had it shipped here to Colorado.
I removed the huge speakers from the back and installed a new AM/FM Radio with bluetooth that connects to our iPhone for music and telephone. The interior is perfect and almost looks new. Linda does not drive it much and we have 5 cars. I have a 1967 Corvette convertible that I drive in good weather, so I would like to sell this MG to someone that would like and DRIVE it…. If you have any questions: seven one nine, six four nine, three seven three seven….
I paid $15,000 from Monty and paid $700 for shipping, so I am already taking less than what I paid for it.
Thanks Ron
