About this vehicle This 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Excellent survivor! Vehicle Details If you have been looking for a premium example of a early short bumper R107, consider this car. This 2 owner Horizon Blue 350SL is really a gem! This is a original paint car that has always been rust free. The lacquer paint has been hand rubbed so well you’d swear it was a base/clear repaint. The interior is blue leather in just about perfect condition. The front seats were reupholstered using NOS blue leather, and new horsehair pads. If you’ve had a Mercedes with blue leather you know the color just dries out the seats. Moreover, the padding on these early 107’s almost instantly fell apart. Needless to say they look great as does the original carpet and crack free dash. The faux wood grain on top ye console is incorrect, albeit easily removed. Chrome and bright work is excellent. The trunk has a blue mat in it OVER the original black rubber mat. The trunks just looked terrible in these early cars. The original Becker stereo was rebuilt by Becker USA and is included in the sale. The original hubcap wheels are also included but I prefer the look of the Bundt/Fuchs wheels. Tires are new: Car runs and drives great and leaks nothing, A/C is even ice cold. Absolutely everything works on this investment grade example. This 350 comes with 2 original keys, stamped maintenance book, all service records from day 1. Very linear aggregation of miles.
