I have spent a bunch of $MONEY$ ($7000 Parts only) upgrading the ENTIRE drivetrain on this Jimmy, axles were upgraded years ago to 3/4 ton Suburban Axles from same era (Eaton HO72 Rear, DANA 44 HD front). I ordered custom Alcan Springs in 2 1/2" Lift because they are not practical to have a huge 6-8" lift on them. Strong 300 Horse 350 V8, Overdrive 700R4 Transmission & NP208 T-case out of 1988 Blazer, Both NEW Drivelines Pro Comp Shocks, NEW OEM-Style Powder Coated Wheel Vintiques 8 Lug Steel Wheels & Correct 12" Factory Hub Caps, NEW 285 75R 16 Yokohama Geolander M/T Tires, NEW Updated Smaller Diameter Brake Booster/Master (Frees up space to work in engine bay), NEW Poly Fuel Tank (Will never Rust), NEW Power Steering Gearbox. New HEI distributor with Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) 50,000 Volt cap & Rotor. I have completed all of this work myself due to the fact I am very picky about the quality of workmanship that goes into my trucks! Motor Fires in cold with ZERO Choke and idles, good compression, perfect timing. I have replaced everything on this truck that makes it run & drive, mechanically SOLID as Hell! Next I was going to move onto sheet metal to complete a Full Restoration.
