Vehicle description
Hello all, I am selling this 1972 Ford F250 It would be a great project to get fixed up for a ranch truck or for a first car or a project truck or parts This truck was aquired a couple months ago and my goal was to fix it up and get it running
This is all I know It is a 390 motor 2wd Single cab long bed All the lights work blinkers cab light headlights brake lights flashers high beams the horn works brakes work power steering worked but has a leak at the pitman arm (seal is like 3 dollars) currently the hood is taken off (to be easier to work on) and the passenger front fender was removed (to be replaced) i have all the hardware for the hood and fender to be installed back on
I’ve done New belts New battery New hoses New starter solenoid A little bit of carburetor adjustment New fluids
I have a box with some new parts Starter Another starter solenoid Carb rebuild kit Some random fluids
I know that when I got it, it had been sitting for about 3 years (to what I heard) When we first cranked it over it was cranking but didn"t have the juice from the battery that was in it I did a bit of maintenance and got it going It was running and driving really well for about a week and then I had some other things come up and it sat for a week I went back and it cranked up perfectly fine and I let it run for a bit and when I turned it off I wasn"t able to get it to crank at all, nothing, went down banged the starter, nothing, I could see that it was getting fuel and it had air so I started following wires and couldn"t find anything so have figured its a wiring issue just don"t know where
The route I want to take now is just to sell this truck and start with something new.
Truck is located in livermore will need to be trailered
