Vehicle description
1972 Chevy Suburban 3-Door. C10 Custom, 4x4, SBC 350, Holley 4-barrel, Hydromatic, 3-row, clam shell, ochre, headers, dual exhaust, the original 14 passenger vehicle.
The 67-72 Suburban brought a 3 rd door to Chevy’s 2-door “Carryall”. ’71 and ’72 were the best years, imo. Very vintage feel with a metal dash and bench seat. Starting in ’73, Suburbans were outfitted with 4 doors and alot more plastic started showing up in the interior. These 3-door Suburbans are rare and hard to find one in this good of condition. Many were used by contractors and the 2 nd and 3 rd row seats were tossed. This is a strong daily runner. Engine pulls strong and has no issue keeping up with traffic. Transmission shifts smooth, no issues. I don’t commute in it but use it frequently in town and on the highway. Will cruise at 70. Starts, runs, drives great. I repaired/replaced a lot of parts in 2018 and it now runs great. All professionally done. New brakes all around - front brake disks/pads, rear brake drums/pads, master cylinder, new radiator, new steering pump, replaced front and rear pinion seals, rear axle seals, rear wheel seals, front axle shaft u-joints. New alternator, rebuilt carburetor – Holley on an Edelbrock intake, rebuilt transfer case. Transmission service, new gaskets. New washer fluid pump, heater fan. I added the OEM steering wheel and aftermarket oil pressure gauge for some peace of mind. Original fabric on 2nd and 3rd row seats, warn and some stains. Vinyl center panels on front bench seat with original white trim. 6,200 miles indicated. Don’t know actual mileage. All glass in good shape, no cracks. Does have rust around the rear wheel wells and in the rockers. I contemplated fixing but decided to just leave it be. Little tiny dings, scratches, love bumps, nothing major. Super fun vehicle. Get alot of thumbs-up driving it. Going up in value along with all classic SUVs. Do your homework. Ask me questions. Can DropBox additional pictures. I"ve owned it almost two years. Selling due to purchasing another project, also a 3-door, and need to make room. Or, so I"m told. 970.309.9753
