About this vehicle This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Vehicle Details 1972 Heavy Chevy. Included is the orginal build sheet that certifies this as an original factory Heavy Chevy. It has its orginal L48 350 engine, Muncie M20 4 speed transmission and 12 bolt rear end with 3:31 gears. The color is gulf green with dark green interior. The car was built the third week of May 1972 and delivered Ed Black's Chevrolet Center in Albuquerque New Mexico. In 1998 the car went through a body off restoration and has remained in private collectors climate controlled garage. I purchased the car and it has been maintained in my climate controlled garage. It has a Holly Street Dominator carb with electronic choke. I have the original carb and air cleaner. It has also been upgraded to an electronic ignition. During the restoration the wheel well moldings were added along with passenger side mirror. These were not original options for the Heavy Chevy. The radio was also changed out as originally it had just an AM radio. The spare is the orginal spare with and orginal jack and lug wrench. The interior is orginal and is in excellent shape for 49 years old. The Heavy Chevy was only a 2 year option 71 and 72. 6500 were built in 71 and 9500 for 72. There are very few documented Heavy Chevy's left today and this is one of them. It would be hard to find one in better condition. The only flaw is a dent in the drivers side door.
