1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer custom with CST trim package, ground-up restoration frame off, by none other than Willy"s workshop in Michigan and as a lot of you may know, he has built many great eight contenders for the Detroit autorama and custom cars and trucks over his long 40 year plus career, this particular K5 Blazer just so happens to be his own, so there has been many custom touches and extras that have gone into the build that should be seen in person to appreciate, although I have many pictures and description of the vehicle this is really a must-see vehicle to be appreciated, there is so much detail that it is hard to describe in words. First we"ll start out the vehicle was a rust free Colorado truck to start with, was totally disassembled in meticulously gone through, every nut and bolt from front to back, top to bottom this is an exceptional build and it is very useful for every type use whether you want to show, it have a trailer Queen or actually use it for its intended purposes. Let"s start out with the driveline, it consists of a stock bore 454 big block Chevrolet with all good internals,MSD ign, pushing well over 500 horsepower on pump gas.Custom polished SS exhaust with polished ss borla muffers. Horsepower goes through a custom built700 r4 overdrive transmission custom converter and Tcase down to custom front and rear differentials front has a locker rear has a posi 411 gears with all aftermarket components which all go to the ground via Mickey Thompson tires and wheels. Next we will go to the body which you will find to be one of the straightest cleanest and nicest K5 blazers on the planet the paint and body and custom work is absolutely exquisite, paint is absolutely show quality in every way, near flawless, the body has also been bed lined throughout the whole inside including firewall for sound deadening purposes only and does a wonderful job, the frame has also been stripped and painted to a beautiful gloss black finish. Next we will go to the suspension this is not your average K5 blazer with leaf springs on all four corners the front suspension of this vehicle is second to none has a full off-road 4 bar suspension with over 18 in of articulating travel and King nitrogen filled coil over front off road racing shocks and custom stainless steel polished skid plates throughout the whole bottom of the vehicle as well as a custom polished SS 28gal fuel tank. Next we will address the inside of the vehicle first let"s start out with the seats,they have been covered with authentic Kodiak bear hide with race harnesses, the dash pad center console armrests and several other interior pieces have been covered with real elk hide aftermarket shifter, aftermarket gauge cluster with custom gauges, stereo system, custom roll bar that supports the soft top which can be taken off and put into a very small tote bag about 18 x 18 in for storage, if you notice closely there is a custom bar above the top that folds back and is covered by canvas that converts into a tent for off road hunting or sleeping this K5 Blazer has it all you name it there is so much that I can list that I know that I am forgetting it"s best to call for all the information. Built-in wench in the front bumper of the vehicle with remote also a built-in air tank in case you"re off road and have a flat tire or just want to inflate some air mattresses or whatever else you can think of, for those of you that have noticed the sunken Jerry can in the back of the tailgate don"t let that fool you that does not hold gasoline that is a custom Jerry can that folds down and opens up and holds just about any type of tool you can possibly imagine if your off-road and breakdown also supplied with the vehicle snatch blocks and other devices used to pull yourself out of some very tough situations.
