Vehicle description
1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer
Up for auction is a 1972 Blazer we rescued. Due to having too many projects we have decided to let this one go. The particulars are as follows:
- 1972 model
- 4x4 - Turbo hydra-matic automatic transmission
- "Dark Green" exterior over black vinyl
- 4 season air conditioning - Front locking hubs
- posi-traction axle
- power steering
- push button AM radio
According to the window sticker, it was originally delivered to Dennis Brent Chevrolet in Dalton, GA. This truck has a lot of good things going for it:
- solid frame. It is crusty but I"ve banged it all over with a hammer, nothing is soft.
- the front of the truck is very complete: seat bases, dash, trim, etc.
- engine turns freely, transmission shifts in and out of gear, and the truck rolls well.
- VIN"s are all present and match up w/ original documentation.
- Top is in good shape. - Georgia Certificate of Registration in my name (functions same as a title, literally says "Title #" on it, will transfer just like a title and exchange as a title with a notarized bill of sale) - I have removed most of the wasps in the vehicle. Any survivors will go with the truck.
The negatives of the car:
- someone has taken the tailgate and rear hatch glass.
- the removal of the back hatch has caused a lot of rust on the rear body of the truck. - Rust has also started on the front floor pans. - This rust has gotten to the fuel tank, otherwise I would"ve tried to get it to yard-drive. - Bottoms of the doors are rough.
Obviously this is a project. Vehicle is sold as-is, where is. No warranties stated or implied. A $250 deposit is required at the end of the auction and is non-refundable. Full payment is due at or by the time of delivery. Cash, verified cashier"s check, or wire transfer. The vehicle will not leave my possession until the funds are securely in my account.
I"m glad to work with a shipper of your choice, or for a delivery in the southeast, I have a good contact for shipping and can put you in touch.
Best of luck, and happy bidding!
