Vehicle description
This is a true Rare barn find. I had been looking for a corolla/ corona wagon for years and then I found this one. This is a California car with little to no rust and everything is original on it. It was stored in a barn in Marysville ca by the air force base and it only had 39k original miles. I purchased it with service records and the mileage was easily documented. Almost all the hard to find parts are complete on this. Even the original am stereo works! The original paper tags are on the vacuum lines in the engine compartment. Considering how old and rare this car is its condition is ready for someone to take it to the next level. I have had the carburetor rebuilt (still original) and the brakes redone. I had the engine tuned up and it has excellent compression and the transmission moves smoothly. Every time I drive this people ask me about it and are amazed that its a Toyota. You just don"t see this car.
This has a 1900 cc engine, runs great. The interior is all original except for a replacement panel on the drivers seat and a panel on the rear of the headliner. Not sure when this was done. The fabric is delicate considering its so old and could use some refreshing. It still has the clear funky 1970"s seat covers on it!
The paint is a bit worn but the body is very straight and clean. The seals could use replacing and it has a small rust spot by the rear windows. The tail lights are cracked and I have 1 replacement NOS (been looking for the other and if I find one before the car sells I will toss it in) I also have a ton of NOS stuff, gaskets, headlamps, and other parts that come along with the car.
This is a rare and amazing car that I just don"t have the time for anymore. Please check out the video we put together on you tube for this car and get a feel for how awesome it is. Ebay wont let me list the link for the video so you will have to find it on you tube. Search using the description of the car model and you will find it 197, its the Joe Willinski video. I have title and it is clear. Please contact me with any questions. GOOD LUCK! !
