Selling my 1971 Saab 96 V-4 coupe with only 49,790 original miles. This car is a rare find, small but mighty - turns a lot of heads anywhere she goes. 1971 was the first year that Saab placed a Ford motor in under the bonnet - the previous year the Saab motor the 96 had was a 2-stroke. The car was also popular in snow rallies and drag races in Sweden when it was released.
The car is mechanically very sound, starts up strong every time, and runs without a hitch. I am the 2nd owner- I have replaced the thermostat, battery, and coolant reservoir.
There are a few minor electrical upgrades it will need - fuse for the dash lights as well as fuel gauge and radio. All other electrical components work well.
Also has minor damage to left rear fender. All remaining upgrades it calls for to bring to new condition are cosmetic and easily fixable.
I have all records of repair work/upgrades, original owners manual, clean title, and even spare tire with the vehicle.
A great passion project for any Saab enthusiast - still has a lot of life left in her.
