Vehicle description
Selling my 1971 Ford F-250(254).
The Positives:
Runs strong and straight with a 360-V8, after market performance carb, new distributor and air cleaner. Has disk brakes up front and drums in the rear and power steering. Has been a west coast truck its entire life, made in San Jose, sold in Seattle and lived in Salem, OR until recently. Newer tires with plenty of life left on them, all the outside trim is original and in good shape, all original interior- not in great shape but not terrible- I even have the original owner"s manual with dealer notation. Runs great. Shifts smooth too.
Some negatives:
Has the original gas tank behind the seat which I hear the floats are notorious for going out on. The gas gauge is stuck on empty so I"m thinking it needs one of those. Needs a sliding assembly for the rear window, has crack in the front. There"s a leak over the power steering coming from the master cylinder, at least I think. I"ve replaced the master cylinder gasket but I"m still getting a little fluid coming from somewhere. The pigtail needs to be wired back in, and, if you want them, you"d need to find and wire in all the interior speakers/lights as well as the horn(all the hardware is there for the horn, I think it just needs connected). Its also missing the saddle tanks but I think its wired and ready for new ones.
If you have any questions, want any more pictures or videos, please send me an email. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
