You are viewing a very beautiful 1971 Ford F-100 Sport Custom short bed 2 wheel drive. This truck is a 2 owner truck, with the last owner for 35 years. The truck when through a total restoration in 2017. Equipped with a big block 390 that was completely rebuilt at time of restoration, 3 Speed manual with rare Over-drive option, Ford big 9"" Traction lok.
The 390 was rebuilt with a Scat crank kit, Howards cam & Lifters, Edelbrock intake & Carb, Hooker Super Comp Headers & Dual Exhaust. It starts with a click of the key and settles into a smooth idle. The Transmission was also rebuilt and a new clutch installed, the trans has the factory Over-drive which is operated by pull/push knob on the dash, the O/D unit is brand new. This truck runs awesome and is very powerful and easy to drive. It has Power Steering.
The body is rust free and straight as an arrow. The color is Wild Strawberry base/clear PPG and looks amazing. I would give the paint & body a 9.5 and I"m picky. All glass and window regulators new, Every piece of chrome was purchased new for the resto. New weather stripping and rubber parts. All new brakes and new suspension parts. Frame and floors are beautiful. Bed has been professionally Rhino Lined and an absolutely eye popping wood floor with SS strips and hardware. The bed is removable if you prefer the steel floor. A set of old school Cyclone wheels were sourced and brand new Cooper Cobra RWL Radials were added. I do have the original wheels if the buyer wants them. The interior is also all new including: Headliner, Dash Cluster, Dash Pad, Wood Wheel, Bluetooth Original Look Stereo system, Radio Bezel, Seat Upholstery, Door Panels, Rug and sill plates.
All in all this is a wonderful restored truck that you can get in and drive, everything works as it should. This era of F100 is gaining in value every day. This is a great investment!
