Vehicle description
Up for auction is a 1971 Ford Bronco with a 302 V8 and C4 automatic transmission. There is no title with this Bronco, it will be sold on a bill of sale ONLY. Please ensure this is acceptable before bidding!
Running condition is unknown, it"s missing the radiator, distributor, carburetor, etc. Ford didn"t offer the C4 in 1971, so someone must have converted this one. Obviously it"s unknown if the transmission works. The data tag has a 6 digit DSO, which means it was special ordered. It"s unclear exactly what makes it so special, but a Marti report would definitely show any unique options it might have. The hood is fiberglass and is basically a throwaway, it"s in rough shape. Both the front and rear driveshafts are missing. Brakes are not locked up, it rolls really nicely. The original rubber floor mat is still present, although the passenger side is missing. Seats have been recovered and are actually in fairly decent shape. The rear seat is aftermarket, but looks pretty high quality.
The doorposts are in pretty good shape, there are a few holes but definitely solid. Amazingly, the rear wheel tubs and the rear floor is not rotted away. The bumpers are heavy duty and the spare tire carrier looks homemade. The tailgate has a few rust holes, but is definitely fixable, the bottom isn"t too rotted. The steering wheel is missing the nut so it"s loose.
I tried to take pictures of all the typical problem areas, this one is not rotted out by any means. The frame is solid in the back, I don"t see any holes. The biggest rust problem is the passenger rocker panel, both the inner and outer are rotted.
