1971 Chevy El Camino SS Clone . 350/350 . 10 bolt posi rear end . Started off as a clean base , solid exterior , spent most of its life indoors . Great driver quality paint, with some more work it could be show quality . This is an A/C car and most of the original ac equipment is still intact or here in some boxes if you desire to bring it back to an air conditioning car . I"ve had the whole front end suspension all redone also , have not had it aligned yet cause I was looking for a nice set of tires and wheels first . Installed new exhaust with new flowmasters , new fuel pump , new headers , new radiator , new 4 barrel carb , new brakes , new water pump , new led headlights that will need some securing as they are a little loose ,.This is a project car in progress . New owner will still need to get signals working and horn ,. Modern style racing seats they tilt and retract back and forth . Dash pad needs work , and floor carpet also needs work . Does have current antique plates . I do not drive this daily , I make quick trips to the local stores and back but has not been driven long distance . Motor runs and transmission shifts , but engine feels like it has a miss in it , maybe timing needs to be adjusted . I"m not mechanically inclined so I can"t tell you , but I can say that I did replace all the spark plugs and wires and put a new 4 barrel Edelbrock Carburetor and still has a miss in it , also noticed some rust in the inline fuel filter by the carb so a new gas tank may be needed sooner than later . I also noticed some tranny fluid spots when i"ve had it parked here in the driveway. Also I"ve noticed the battery has drained on me a couple of times so might need an alternator . I"m selling this car as is . If you"re in the market for a nice clean project car that you can work on to perfection then this is the car for you . If you"re looking for something to drive across the state then go look for the $30,000 and up El Camino"s. This one here has had most of the hard work already done . Have a new front bumper that new owner will need to install , i set it on the car just for a picture , i wanted to buy a new front grille first before i set the new bumper in . Also has all new trim , weather striping , in boxes that will go to the new owner . Floor pans were pretty solid to begin with , so i opted out in putting new pans . Lots of money invested .
