Vehicle description
Rare 1971 Buick Riviera Boat-tail in immaculate condition. This is the one you want if you want the best. This beautiful 71’ Boat-tail is one of the best examples left and the car has been judged by the Buick Club of America as such with an incredible 395/400 available judging points. The pictures do not do this car justice but I am happy to send along specific photos if you are serious. This entire car is beautiful with no areas needing attention and runs and drives as good or better than when it was brand new. The whole car is immaculate including the flawless paint, chassis, engine compartment, interior and trunk. The car was judged and lost 5 points for incorrect wipers, fan belts, and rad cap all of which have now been addressed to original specs. Countless dollars have been spent on the paint and chrome which both are flawless and show beautifully. The original 455 ci engine and transmission were rebuilt with no expense spared. There were numerous engine and brake components changed as well approximately 8,000 miles ago. The engine fires on first crank and runs smoothly and the fast idle works perfectly. The complete exhaust was redone with a stainless dual system front to back. The floors were painted matt black when the exhaust was removed. This entire car is rust free and retains all its original panels. The interior is to die for, the car was ordered from the factory with the knotch back front bench seat and was upgraded to the extremely rare ( in my opinion a much sportier interior as most had the diamond pattern ) bucket seats and floor console with mint original door panels and flawless dash board. The carpets are original and are beautiful. The trunk is immaculate with the original floor mat and original unused spare. The air conditioning system was completely updated and works perfectly blowing cold air and hot heat. The original AM/FM works perfectly as do the power windows and power door locks. The Buick Five Spoke Rally rims are spectacular and pit free. I have all the original documentation that goes with the car, what a rare find and treasure to have including the window sticker and original bill of sale with the salesman’s card still attached. If you are looking at this add you already know how rare this 1971 Boat tail Riviera is, these are the best of the Boat tails. This car is beautiful and runs as good or better than the day it was new. I also have a white and black 71’ Riviera GS with the optional bucket seat interior in the same condition. I know these cars extremely well and this is a very rare opportunity to own the best, this is located in Toronto and can be easily exported back to the USA, all questions will be answered but please only bid if you are a serious buyer, there is nothing to do but enjoy this car. Thanks for looking and good luck.
