Vehicle description
1970 VW Type Bus
I have for sale a 1970 VW Type 2 Bus. When I purchased the bus it was in pretty bad shape, from a cosmetic stand point.
This is all the work I did:
1. lower windshield replacement 2. Dashtop 3. Lower 6" nose replacement 4. Forward floor panel, partial replacement 5. New battery, 6. Sanded down to metal and spend about 3 months leveling out then Bus 7. New brake shoes 8. New fuel lines 9. New brake master cylinder 10. New window rubber
Remaining: 1. rear left trams axle needs to be out back, it was loose. 2. I have the lourvered window, but didn"t like it so I was going to get it custom made. I didn"t have the time to research locations 3. Driver and passenger doors 4. I have the remaining missing pieces priced out, including transaxle work and you are looking at around $1000.00
My idea behind the bus was to maintain everything as original as possible.
Will send additional photos and information upon request. If you are from the Miami area the bus was worked on by a few well known local legends.
Between the cost of the bus, materials, and labor I do not have much flexibility so if you don"t hear from me I"m not entertaining your offer.
