This was my dream car for the majority of my life. Life happens and it found it"s home with me. Now it is my turn to let go. Offering this car up for sale is not an easy task for me but here she is. . This 1970 GTO was fully restored a few years ago. The previous owner had true labor of love for this car. His desire was a restoration to keep this car on the road well after other restorations fall in need again. Shortly after the restoration he passed away and I purchased the car. Personally I like his vision as my life motivation has always been do it right or not at all. . That said just look at the photos underneath this car to understand my point. I have owned this car for a couple of years now. Yes the under-body and chassis is clean as hell but think about this, the dust you see is build up from the last few years as this car has not seen a water hose nor rain since I have owned it nor have I been under the car detailing it. I would still eat off the bottom. It needs absolutely nothing but a driver, a nice day to cruise, or a show to attend. Now pictures don"t do the custom candy apple red over gold base and pearl justice so I am including a lot of photos so you can see how the sun captures but trust me, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS CAR IN PERSON to get the full Shock and Awe. The 400ci engine and TH400 transmission are also painted candy apple red. The mechanical phase of the restoration was kept pretty much stock rebuilding except for coatings, a mild cam (yes it lopes), full length headers and exhaust. Built for cruise ins as this car will draw attention, rumble like a hot rod, yet ride like a Lincoln. To most people this car would be a trailer queen but I like to drive and my wife and I used this car for our monthly date night weather permitting. That said there is a couple of flaws with the car but you would have to be Sherlock Holmes to notice. Besides it is 48 years old restored or not there is going to be something somewhere. Lol I am old as dirt so I am not cruising in a car with no ac or power brakes during the heat of the summer. . Most young adults today don"t realize air conditioning and power brakes were optional. .This car is sold as is with no warranty implied.
