What you’re currently looking at is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. Without a doubt this car will be the best handling pro-touring Mopar in the country when its finished. A lot of research was done while building this full chassis car to ensure it will perform like no other resto-mod Mopar on the planet. This is where the Art Morrison Chassis comes in, the “Maximum G” chassis from Art Morrison is designed to take all the stress away from the body and kept that tension in the frame. The chassis has Corvette front suspension, tri-Bar coil over rear suspension, huge Wilwood disc brakes, and a Strange 9” rear end w/ 35 spline axles rated for very high horsepower and torque. While building this car we took measures to lower the overall weight of the car while keeping a lower center of gravity too. This brings us to the heart of the car. A Mopar built crate 7.0 Liter, 426 C.I. Hemi that makes 625 naturally aspirated horsepower to the flywheel. The engine is considerably lighter than the 6.1L engine that it was based on and is one of the very last 6.1L based 426 engines Mopar ever made. I have the paperwork to show where the engine was purchased direct from Mopar. All the necessary hoses, lines and A/N fitting plus a Fass wiring harness and computer comes with the car. All you realistically need is to purchase is a fuel cell to go between the frame rails. The headers were custom built for this car and are ceramic coated inside and out to ensure they will look perfect for a very long time. The Transmission is a brand new Tremec T-56 magnum 6-spd close ratio, rated for 700 Ft/Lbs of torque. It is paired with a quick time bell housing , lightened billet steel flywheel, Science Friction Sub-Atomic Twin Clutch and Hydramax hydraulic clutch actuator hooked to a Wilwood clutch, Brake and gas pedal set up. Lets talk a little bit about the body on this car. Every single reproduction piece of steel available for this car was purchased and installed; it is virtually flawless in regards to rust or corrosion. The engine bay has a lot of hours in fabrication making custom parts and smoothing everything out under the hood. We did this so that when she’s complete it will have no signs of corners cut it will be nicer then any car off the showroom floor in 1970 and that’s a fact. The body is channeled over the frame 2 ¼ inches to give it a better look and for performance reasons as well. The car is currently sitting on some corvette take-off wheels and tires that are only there to role the car around on, When you put some nice big meats under the back of this thing it will have a completely new attitude. This is only a limited amount of info on the build, Honestly I can’t sit here and write a book about it. If you know anything about what is described above, then you know the asking price of the car is far lower then what I have in it. There is a lot of brand new parts sitting in boxes that go with this car. 90% of what you need to complete the car is here and goes with the car. This car has all the makings of a great pro-touring car. Its got the muscle, and handling capabilities to keep it quick on the track as well as the looks to turn heads while on the street. If you finished outfitting a few odds and ends the car in about 40 to 50 labor hours would be moving under its own power and be ready to be disassembled and sent to have the paint/interior done. So why is it for sale? . . . Well the answer is pretty simple BECAUSE RACECAR …. Yeah I spend pretty much all my time racing and working on my racecars. For the past few years this super badass Cuda gets very little attention and if I keep this car it will be years before I would get it finished and that’s why its for sale. I would have already finished this car, but like I said it’s been in the making for a while now and frankly I rather be racing then turning wrenches on this Cuda right now. One very small condition for the sale of my car, I would really like to have a picture of it when its complete.
