Here is the story of this 1970 Mercury Cougar.
I"m a purist with owning 2 BOSS 302"s that are correct. BUT, I could not pass up this one owner, Competition Green, California Cougar. As the second owner, I decided to give it new life as an Eliminator and have something drive-able without using racing fuel or additives. This is a really nice car. The photos will show how nice this car lines up and body lines match.
HERE ARE THE STATS:
351 4V Windsor
- This engine was completely rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted, by a NASCAR engine builder; including slightly lower compression and roller cam, Holley carb, also hard valve seats for today"s fuel.
- No special oil needed and no special gas or additives needed
- 3 speed automatic, FMX transmission
Brakes
- All new brakes including booster, master cyl., lines, rotors, wheel cylinders, and hardware
Wheels & Tires
- All new 15" reproduction original look Cougar wheels
- New BF Goodrich Radial T/A"s
All new Suspension & Exhaust
Original white interior and black carpet - very nice condition
A/C, P/S, rebuilt heater box with new heater core and evaporator
New gas tank and lines and pump
Rechromed bumpers
New door handles, locks, qtr window chrome and backup light housings
Tail lights blink properly
RIMBLOW WHEEL WORKS AND HAS TILT
All new weatherstrips
All original sheet metal
Paint - Competition Green, base, clear
